Australia Trip

A super exciting salt lake in South Australia
A super exciting salt lake in South Australia

I have spent the last 3 and a half months in sunny Australia, spending time with family and friends, and getting inspiration from the landscape. I have always wanted to see Lake Eyre, Australia’s largest lake, 15m below sea level that rarely fills up (3 times in the past 150 years) yet contains an algae under the surface of the salt that changes to hues of pink. It’s dangerous to drive out there in the middle of the 38-45 degree summer heat so for best views and safety it’s best to fly over.

I captured this stunning shot on our way back down, the perspective of the landscape becoming more of how we know it.
