New Glasgow Drawings

Well well, I finally got around to drawing more Glasgow cityscapes. Now that I’m going through on a weekly basis to work at the Glasgow Print Studio its a perfect opportunity to do some work of the city. I’ve completed 5 original drawings, currently being exhibited as part of a group Glasgow themed exhibition at ScotlandArt Gallery

The Gallery is situated in the West End of the city centre, at 193 Bath Street G2 4HU. All work is framed and available to purchase from £350.

Preliminary sketches underway.
I posted snipets of the watercolour washes on Instagram as I was going, I thought it might be nice to see the progression….

The work hanging in the gallery
These are some of the highlights of photos I took while roaming the streets looking for inspiration.
I love scenes like this where the streets are busy with people dashing from place to place, also showing an eclectic mix of architecture, not to mention the various colours of the stonework.
I captured this image at the end of the day, I love the silhouette of pointy spires!
